Hotel La Tour is a relatively new wedding venue in the heart of our city, surrounded by the lush greenery of Campbell Park. I was lucky enough to be a part of my first wedding at Hotel La Tour last year for Mark & Eve's ceremony, and I knew it wouldn't be long until I was back!
Mark and Eve exchanged vows on the outdoor terrace. I was unsure what to expect from a venue right in the middle of the city, but I was definitely blown away, the mirrored building reflecting light makes the terrace feel like an oasis, a feeling emphasised by plenty of décor and flowers.
With the ceremony over and the bar opening up, we took the opportunity to grab a few group photos & portraits of the couple, followed by plenty of the candid's as the couple mingled with their guests. When it came round to the food the guests were blown away - anyone who's eaten at the hotels restaurant 'Fourteen' knows that this venue does food well. Then came the speeches, of which I have heard many over the years, but when I say I was wowed by the Grooms speech that is definitely an understatement! He recited a poem that he had written himself, detailing how he had met his wife, their first dates, when they had their children, and how he proposed, which was both impressive and incredibly moving. Once everyone had finished shedding a few tears and dessert had been demolished, we took to the dancefloor, and these guests sure knew how to party! With neon glasses, outfit changes and light up trainers, there was no end to the surprises in store! I had an absolute blast capturing all the action right in the middle of the dance floor.
Capturing the essence of Mark and Eve’s love story was an absolute joy for me, and Hotel La Tour provided the perfect canvas for their special day.
