BUCKINGHAMSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

"The first thing I'll ask you to do is walk."

Not pose. Not perform. Not do anything that feels like photography.

Just walk together — like you do every single day.

Something shifts when your body's doing something completely ordinary. You stop overthinking, stop wondering what to do with your hands. That's when the good stuff happens.

I'll guide you through the rest. You just have to show up.

Bride and Groom Walk through Swynford Manor Grounds inCambridgeshire

Ella was such a good vibe, she made us feel super comfortable & was up for our crazy photo ideas. The photos are incredible I have so many favourites I will cherish forever.

Jess & Andrew, Plum Park Manor

Ella is extremely professional, always communicating and she’s super lovely and a joy to have on your big special day!

Kimberley & James, Swynford Manor

The photos turned out more beautiful than we could've imagined. She really captured our feelings and connection exactly how we wanted and the entire process was so much fun!!

HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS

Most couples say they're terrible in front of a camera. None of them still think that by the end of the day.

I shoot a blend of documentary and editorial — which means I spend most of the day watching and waiting, ready for the moment your dad's face falls apart when he sees you, or the one where your best friend says something that makes you snort-laugh mid-speech.

But I'm not a fly-on-the-wall photographer. When the situation calls for it, I'll step in with something simple — walk this way, stand here, look at each other — nothing that feels staged, everything that gives you photographs worth framing.

Think of it less like being photographed and more like having someone in your corner who happens to be holding a camera.

"I'll tell you when the light's better somewhere else. I'll let you know if we should move. I'll be honest with you about what works — and I'll do whatever it takes to get the shot, even if that means running the perimeter of an entire lake or lying face-down in a muddy field. (It happens more than you'd think. I'll usually warn you first.)"

The style sits between documentary and editorial — and that balance is intentional. Pure documentary means hoping for the best. Pure editorial means spending half your wedding day being directed. Neither sounds fun.

What I do is somewhere in between: enough guidance that you feel relaxed and look great, enough space that your wedding day still feels like your wedding day.

WHO THIS IS FOR

The best weddings aren't the most polished. They're the most personal.

The ceremony that made half the room laugh. The first dance nobody saw coming. The venue that needed a bit of explaining, but made complete sense once you did.

I photograph weddings of all kinds — church ceremonies, outdoor celebrations, Halloween themes, D&D tables, you name it. What matters to me isn't the style of your wedding. It's that it feels like you.

You're a bit nervous about cameras

Honestly, that's fine. Most of the couples I work with say the same thing. It's my job to make sure you stop thinking about it — and start enjoying the day

You don't want to spend half the day posing

We'll do portraits. They'll be quick, low-key and worth having. I'll make sure you enjoy them, not just endure them! Then you're back with your people - actually at your wedding, not performing.

Your wedding feels like yours

Not-trend led. Just full of the details that are specific to you - the ones that will make sense in twenty years because they were never about what was popular. They were about who you are.

Sounds like your kind of day?

I take on a limited number of weddings each year — which means the ones I do take on get my full attention. If your date's still free, I'd love to hear about it.
